Compensating Globally Mobile Employees:
Linking Talent and Remuneration
As organizations become more global and the competition for talent rises, companies are leveraging multiple compensation alternatives to meet their international staffing needs. The session will examine the philosophy and pay models utilized, giving special attention to the current trends of multinational organizations around the use of local market-driven compensation packages for expatriates. Mercer, with a client panel, will discuss current benchmarks, experiences and how these new mobility compensation models integrate with an organization's overall talent mobility strategy. The panel will cover the best use of such approaches across organization levels and compensation allowance options provided to create these supplementary "plus" allowances. The session will also include a discussion of the pitfalls and problems to avoid in implementing host-driven mobility models.
