Program Details

Text Messages for Executive Compensation Professionals is a half-day event sponsored by CCA. The intent is to stimulate your thinking and prepare you for an energized start to the upcoming executive compensation decision making cycle. Subject matter experts from our Gold and Platinum Sponsors will discuss a series of hot topics which are expected to influence the shape and direction of executive compensation in the year ahead. Whether your employer is publicly-traded or privately held, the symposium will provide you with the most recent data and insights regarding executive compensation levels and design trends, regulatory and legislative activities, and executive pay governance issues. Among the “text messages” to be discussed are the following:

  • They're kidding, or are they? - Regulatory, legislative, accounting historical perspective and update
  • But there is no one quite like us - Peer group development and assessment in the light of ISS and Glass Lewis' new methodologies
  • They get paid HOW MUCH? - Highlights from recent findings in 2013 executive compensation studies
  • What Happended? When was the funeral? - Ultimate demise of the Stock Option
  • How Big is Big? How Long is Long? - Highlights from recent incentive design findings in 2013 executive compensation studies
  • Tell it all you tattletale - Disclosure and outreach - evolving best practices for 2014?

The format this year will be a short introductory presentation on each topic by one of the experts followed by an open discussion/debate by the panelists.  Panelist will provide copies of their introductory presentations as well as other relevant handouts to enhance your understanding of the topic.
